Jen and I took a day trip with some friends to the Met Cloisters. I had never heard of them before, but they are a branch of the Met Museum that is dedicated to the art, architecture, and gardens of medieval Europe. A lot of the features were taken from actual medieval buildings in Europe and reassembled in New York. It was pretty amazing. It was also our longest trip since moving, the cloisters are located pretty far north of Manhattan. The subway ride was about an hour in total. Anyway, here are some cool pics.
Edit: I just realized this is our first post without cats! 😹

Morning baconeggandcheese before the long subway ride from the deli on our block.

A very cool pillar in the main cloister.

The inside was huge, with lots of rooms like this one.

What are these dudes doing with all of those eggs?

The power of christ compells me.

These unicorn hunt tapestries are a huge drawl for the museum. So cool

They had incredible detail and it's hard to belive they are woven.

Just a stained glass window of some monkeys building a table.

Jen looking cute in the main cloister garden.

Couldn't resist a mirror selfie in the museum.

On the way home we stopped in Harlem and I got some chicken and waffels.

Bonus pic of a modern love letter.
