Apple picking, a fall tradition
Thanks to our awesome friends Abbie and Ross, we got invited to take a day trip apple picking at Fishkill farms near Beacon, NY. We took the train up north from our place in Brooklyn. Getting up early, we headed to Grand Central Station to catch the Metro North train, got off near the farm and then ubered a short distance there. All-in-all it was about a 3 hour trip. The farm was beautiful, with rows of apple trees a pumpkin patch, a live band, apple cider, donuts, and a hayride. It was kind of like a festial atmosphere in the main area which was pretty cool to see. I personally had no experience apple picking, and learned a lot about the fruit. Oh there was also a mass amount of very persistent bees near the main area that really wanted our cider, but I didn't get any good pictures of that sorry.
