God bless America 🦅
4th of July
Hey all, thanks for stopping by. We were lucky enough to get invited to a super cool rooftop party in Bushwick for the 4th of July. Jen and I don't usually do anything for the 4th, but the party was fun and the view was pretty wild. It was honesly a little surreal seeing the Manhattan skyline with fireworks going off. We had a great time and met some cool people.

You can see Manhattan!

The NYC fireworks were on the other side of Manhattan but we could still seem em.

From other parts of the roof you could see locals were setting off fireworks as well.

A cat friend at the party named Jonas, he has his own portrait on the wall.

On our way home there were fireworks going off all around us.

We had to get some late night halal food.

Ruby was exhausted.
The following weekend and beyond
The following weekend we got to finally take it eazy, unpack some more, and spend some time settling in.

We got the cats a new cat tower, a major priority.

A delicious Italian sandwich we had for lunch with cuecumber tomatoe soup from Pecoraro Latteria.

I hope this guy finds his perfect woman.

One of Jake's favorite things about the city is the wash and fold laundry services. It's surprisingly cheap!

We stumbled upon a random parade.

It was pretty cool.

It went for several blocks.

My favorite lox bagel spot so far, simply nova.

It's very hot and you can find the classic open firehydrants in random spots around the city.

One of our local bars "Easy Lover" had a promo for buy one beer get a free hotdog for July 4th.

Jake was very happy.

Then we all had a very lazy Sunday.

Ruby comfortably looking out the window.

Another angle so you can understand the full cuteness.

One of our local grocers has a cat mascot named Blanco.

If you are lucky, you will see the celeberty in the store..
Anyway that's all for now, thanks for reading. We will be back soon!
