NYE Concert

We rang in 2026 with friends this year! Jacob and I don't usually go out to celebrate the new year (to many people!). But this year we did.

Our friends Abbie and Ross invited us to a concert at a local arts and events venue caled Rubulad. The theme was 'Outta This World', and people were encouraged to dress up. I had some sparkly purple fabric in the back of the closet, so I quickly sewed Jacob and I some simple purple pullovers. Abbie and Ross went the classic alien route and did some really cool green makeup!

The event was a lot of fun. There were lots of people, but it wasn't overly crowded. There were bands playing the whole night. They did a countdown to midnight, and then had an inflatable UFO and alien come trough the crowd.

The bands were really good. There was also an outdoor space with a firepit so you could hang out outside. The event venue itself is really cool. It's an art space, and had a really unique look and really cool decorations.
